About Donald
My goal is to understand the student's learning abilities in order to adjust myself to their needs. I have a Bachelor's of Science in Astrophysics with a minor in Geophysics & Planetary Physics from UCLA. I'm a master's student in Physics with a concentration in Astronomy. As a graduate teaching assistant, I had taught a university introductory astronomy lab for a semester and am currently teaching an introductory physics lab.

I enjoy the many different ways I can teach the same concepts and relate it to the student. I like getting to know my students and seeing their growth and improvements.
I started teaching by attending a graduate program at SF State.

I would like to get to know my students by providing them a supportive environment. By understanding them and their value of the material, I can then build their efficacy by teaching them the necessary concepts and processes that would be most effective to them.
I have worked with introductory physics and astronomy students who were mostly majored in non-STEM fields.
I would suggest that they look for a teacher who can grasp the difference in levels of knowledge between other people. A professor can only teach a kindergartener only if they can put themselves in that kindergartener's shoes and explain things as simply as needed.
I enjoyed performing a physics education research project, asking whether students have higher self-efficacy in labs or lectures.
