About Alan
With 10 years experience working in architecture and a lifetime obsession in sketching, Alán has combined the two to create a holistic approach to representing vision, as lines.
Travel sketching particularly is something that has developed since his break-through studying abroad in Spain. When push came to shove, no money left, Alán hit the streets of Barcelona and shared his sketches with tourists and locals alike. That was the catalyst that led him to 'SeeTheLines'. By creating an experience for people, in turn a connection and a memory to savor, sketching became a means to access the universal language of admiration for creation.
After having traveled to 20 countries, it is with utmost joy and passion that, Alán is guiding students to create, connect and serve. You will see the lines and begin to harness your own unique vision of creating a legacy of sketches.
There is so much to be excited about to have the ability to sketch with confidence and flow.
First, you get to create stories from your unique vision by applying a method called 'selective admiration'. Once you have the foundation skill to sketch perspective and proportion everything from there is your character on the page.
With sketching and traveling, your sketchbooks become your legacy books filled with treasures of memories with rich stories to tell.

We work through the mindset first with visualization techniques then do a modeling process where the student models each step from pencil to pen to watercolor.
From young students to international adults. Wide range. The methods taught can be learned by just about anyone.
My advice would be to hire a teacher who is a working artist and is passionate about what they do and they want to actualize their students dreams for creating their own unique abilities.
