About Simon

I bring a rare combination of elite academic qualifications, high-level corporate pedigree, and senior educational leadership to my coaching practice. Alongside my PGCE and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), I hold triple degrees in Mathematics, Computer Science and Education. Beyond the classroom, I serve as the Chair of Governors at a local secondary school and a Governor at a local primary school, giving me deep insight into current UK educational standards, curriculum design, and student safeguarding.

My background spans years in the fast-paced tech sector as a software developer, business analyst, and software development manager. Because of this, my tutorials go far beyond dry code and textbook theories. I have spent a career coaching, mentoring, and scaling technical teams, and I bring those exact high-performance development strategies directly into my lessons.

I don't just teach the curriculum; I teach logic, project management, and structural problem-solving. This unique approach transforms maths from an intimidating obstacle into an empowering tool, building up a student's inner confidence alongside their grades. By blending curriculum mastery with real-world computing frameworks, I make complex concepts tangible and exciting.

About the lesson

Maths should never be about staring at dry, static text or memorising formulae just to pass a test. When numbers are divorced from reality, students switch off. My mission is to change that by mixing the joy of logical problem-solving with real-world computing, all while ensuring your child secures top-tier exam results.

As a fully qualified teacher (QTS) holding degrees in both Mathematics, Computer Science, and Education, I show students exactly how abstract curriculum theories connect directly to the cutting-edge tech world. Whether we are using algebraic functions to understand how video game graphics render, or applying data analysis to crack code structures, I bring maths to life in a way that hooks a student's curiosity.
