About Darnella
Private Math Tutor 1 on 1, Small group, disability students and college students for ten plus years. I tutored children (jr hs, hs) and college students any age (tutored in Brooklyn, NYC and Zoom Tutoring from Long Island NY). group. I troubleshoot the tuttees with Algebra, Geometry, Statistics, Pre calculus, Computer math and Nursing math. My tuttees felt comfortable tutoring with me and therefore set their goals to getting A's and B's. They accomplished it. No one is perfect, but if I can help the tutee/tuttees I do it at the best of my ability.

One lesson, a student was referred to me because he needed help with his basic math/Algebra. Because I was female he drew back at first until he saw that I was serious about tutoring math and I knew the subject well. He worked with me and he passed his first exam with an "A". He was proud and I challenged him to get that on the next exams. He did and he comes to me to Tutor him ever since. He had that much faith in my tutoring skills, he asked me to help him with math in other courses. I asked him to use the same process he used to pass his math exams with his other courses. He did and got "A's and B's". I was proud of myself that I could help him with other subjects. I also call myself " The Sesame Street Tutor", because I wear a lot of course hats, organized, use critical thinking, patient, positive and others. A tuttee named me the countess because I go at the tuttees speed "1 2 3" until the tuttee speeds themselves up in their learning how to troubleshoot your math on their own.

Please have all materials on hand: * Come to the sessions with positive attitude * On the first session We meet and greet let's us get to know one another, how the process will be * A notebook you would be using for tutoring only * A folder for any reference papers I may send you * A calculator if doing classes - Statistics or Pre Calculus * Phone to take screenshots of work * In case of technological problems be patient go out and come back in Remember no one is perfect and I will work with you the best of my ability. Lastly, please make sure we exchange the correct email address if you choose to make more appointments for more sessions.
