# A Typical Lesson Plan

While flexible to your goals, a typical art lesson with me often follows this flow:

1. **Warm-Up & Inspiration (5-10 min):** A quick drawing exercise or a look at an inspiring artwork to get the creative juices flowing and introduce the day's concept.
2. **Concept Introduction & Demonstration (10-15 min):** I introduce a key art concept (like line, shape, or color theory) or technique, explaining it clearly and demonstrating how to apply it.
3. **Guided Practice (10-15 min):** We practice the new skill together, and I provide immediate, personalized feedback.
4. **Independent Creation (15-20 min):** You apply what you've learned to your own creative project, with my ongoing support and encouragement.
5. **Reflection & Share (5-10 min):** We discuss your artwork and learning, celebrating progress and exploring future possibilities.

My unique background as an art teacher with an **MA in Art Education K-12** (magna cum laude) and a focus on **culturally responsive teaching** allows me to stand out.
