About Maria Brigida
I am an Italian native speaker with a passion for foreign languages.
I am proficient in the English language and obtained IELTS grades 8 in 2015.
I am a Physics graduate with 110/110 cum laude (first-class honors) from Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, Italy, with a master in particle physics (March 2015).
I Enrolled as a PhD student in Particle Physics at the University of Birmingham, UK. During my undergraduate and postgraduate studies I have been collaborating with leading research institutions, including CERN.
I have tutoring, teaching and outreach experience with both high school and undergraduate students. I am serious, patient, committed and friendly.
I like to lay out a plan with bullet points in order to work towards specific goals.
I furthermore believe each person learns through different techniques and media, so I am happy to adapt the approach that most suits each individual and to help in the most effective way.
On top of maths and physics, I'd be happy to help you improve your Italian.
I found through my own personal learning experience that the study of grammar is necessary, but it's more effective when practiced alongside with conversation, listening and perhaps through the study of your favorite art or media.
