About Riya
I am a friendly and patient teacher with a strong passion for helping students succeed. I hold both an Engineering degree and a Master’s in Computer Science from UCD, which have equipped me with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. My strong academic background ensures that I bring both expertise and clarity to my lessons. My goal is to make mathematics accessible and engaging, while building students’ confidence and encouraging independent thinking. I am committed to creating a positive learning environment where every student feels supported and motivated to reach their full potential.

My lessons are designed to match each student’s learning style, with a strong focus on building confidence and developing a clear understanding of mathematical concepts. I use step-by-step explanations, real-world examples, and plenty of practice questions to make learning effective and engaging. I also provide worksheets to reinforce concepts and allow students to practice independently. A typical lesson lasts approximately an hour, although I can adjust the duration to meet the student’s needs. With an Engineering background and a Master’s in Computer Science from UCD, I bring strong analytical skills and subject knowledge to every session. My lessons are best suited for students from 5th to 10th grade who want to improve their maths skills and achieve better results in school.
