About Ajeshni
Hi, I’m Ajeshni (AJ)
I’m a Cambridge-based mathematics tutor and a professional engineer, with over 16 years of experience using math in real life. I’ve got a– Master of Engineering Studies degree from University of Auckland, but more importantly, I genuinely enjoy helping kids understand math in a way that finally clicks with hands-on explanation.
I know that every child learns differently. Some just need a bit of guidance, others need their confidence rebuilt, and that’s where I come in. I create a calm, supportive space where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.
As a mom myself, I understand how important it is to find someone patient, reliable, and genuinely invested in your child’s progress.

My lessons are tailored to suit your child’s needs, whether they’re catching up, keeping up, or wanting to get ahead.
For primary and high school students (including NCEA)
Available in Cambridge (face-to-face)
Focus on building confidence and strong foundations
Clear, simple explanations (no overwhelm!)
Practice, revision, and help with homework or exam prep
I keep lessons structured but relaxed, so students don’t feel pressured. The goal is to help them understand maths, not just memorise it.
Over time, you’ll see improvements not just in results, but in their confidence and attitude towards maths too.
