About Saffron

Hi! I am Saffron. Fun fact, saffron is also a colour! I love anything creative and it brings me joy to talk about creativity, share and learn it. Creativity is to give the world some thing it is missing - and that is exactly why learning about art is important.
I am a fully qualifited secondary teacher specialising in art. I have been teaching in Barcelona for 4 years, also as designated safeguarding lead, form tutor and teacher of emotional education. In my spare time I create! I practice my technical skills. I spend time in nature, exercise at the gym and enjoy local cultural activities. My love of learning is reflected in how I choose to live my life!
Creatively I paint, draw, sew, build, cook. My greatest inspiration is nature.
My attitude and philosophy to life is a very positive one. To develop is to first come across challenges, to be resilient is to over come them and to be successful is to learn from them.

About the lesson

Every class will start with a warm up activity of approimately 10-15 minutes. This may be a creative activity, assessment or discussion work.
Classes are adapted to meet your individual needs. Therefore the main activity would depend on what you want to learn or what qualification you are working towards.
When introducing new skills you would be supported by having a 1:1 demonstration as well as having additional resources provided for you to revisit after class.
The lesson would end with reflection to identify what you have learn and what you would like to improve on.
