About Yehelini

Hello! こんにちは！ My name is Yehelini.

I’m a BSc (Hons) Business Data Analytics student at the University of Westminster. I have completed JLPT N5 and am currently studying for N4.

My native language is Sinhala, and I’m also fluent in English and Tamil. My curiosity about languages, and growing up watching anime, inspired me to learn Japanese and explore its culture. Because I learnt it as another language myself, I truly understand both the challenges and the rewards of starting from the beginning.

My experience as a trainee pre-school teacher taught me to explain new ideas simply, with patience and encouragement. I teach in a friendly, supportive and approachable way, using clear PowerPoint slides to help students feel comfortable and motivated.

About the lesson

Beginner-friendly Japanese lessons using clear PowerPoint slides to make learning easy. Each lesson lasts 1 hour 30 minutes. I’ve completed JLPT N5, am studying N4, and have experience as a trainee pre-school teacher. Perfect for enthusiastic beginners of any age.
