About Ben

I am a doctor with a strong passion for medical education and dementia research. Alongside my clinical training, I have completed a master’s degree in dementia studies and have been involved in teaching medical students in the lower years for several years. I particularly enjoy supporting and inspiring the next generation of doctors and am passionate about making medical education engaging, accessible and evidence-based. I have presented my research at several national neurology and psychiatry conferences and have a strong academic background, having been ranked first overall for exam performance within my medical school.

Outside of medicine, I spend most of my time outdoors, hiking and wild swimming, as well as watching rugby!

What I offer:

- OSCE Preparation:
Focused practice on clinical scenarios, communication skills and physical exams, with tailored support to make your exam day run smoothly.

- Written Exam Support:
Focused on high-yield strategies, MCQ practice and deep dives into tough topics.

- Medical School Interview Coaching:
MMI and panel interview prep, mock interviews with feedback and help crafting compelling and original answers.

Whether you're a current medical student, graduate entry applicant or someone aiming for top scores, I'll tailor each of our sessions to your goals and learning style.

About the lesson

Each lesson is fully tailored to your individual needs and goals.

For OSCE preparation, we'll go through common and high yield clinical scenarios, practice communication and examination skills, and work on structuring your answers clearly and confidently.

For written medical exams, I focus sessions on consolidating core knowledge, breaking down complex topics, and practising exam style questions and clinical scenarios with effective strategies.

If you're preparing for medical school interviews, we'll run mock interviews, work on refining your answers and build your confidence in presenting yourself professionally.

My sessions are interactive, supportive, and designed to help you feel prepared, not just academically but also mentally. My goal is to help you feel fully supported every step of the way, no matter where you are in your medical journey!

Deadly! Ben has been an absolutely fantastic tutor and played a huge part in helping me successfully pass all of my medical school exams. He is incredibly thorough, knowledgeable and always made sure I properly understood a topic rather than simply memorising the information.

What really stood out was how flexible and supportive he was throughout the year. He consistently went the extra mile, tailoring sessions to the areas I needed the most help with and making himself available when I needed additional support.

I genuinely couldn’t recommend Ben highly enough to any medical student looking for a reliable, knowledgeable and dedicated tutor. Thank you for all your help, Ben!

Ben is a fantastic teacher as he has both the passion and the knowledge to help his fellow peers achieve the best grades possible.

Being a second year medical student, Ben has been doing weekly OSCE sessions with us where, he has been making OSCE scenarios and challenging our clinical and scientific knowledge.

His lecture slides are clearly laid out, the lecture content is specific and in depth for our medical course and he has the ability to explain challenging concepts in an easy-to-follow manner.

Getting taught by Ben does not feel tiering and boring-- his lessons are interactive and very engaging, allowing us to learn
medicine whilst enjoying the process!

Ben is an extremely intelligent and laid back individual. Learning from him is something myself and my peers look forward to every week and we always come out of his sessions more confident and knowledgeable in our clinical and scientific knowledge.

I’m a second year medical student. Ben has given me teaching on physiology, cardiovascular and neurological systems. He has been an excellent source of information as he is very knowledgeable. Ben has also done teaching for OSCE which has been very useful in furthering my understanding before my exams. I could easily recommend his teaching to anyone as he is able to break it down to more digestible parts.

Overall an excellent and friendly tutor who motivates you to do better and tells you how to achieve your goals.
