About Yahya
Hi! I’m a passionate STEM tutor dedicated to helping students build confidence, master complex concepts, and achieve their full potential in GCSE Maths, Physics, and Chemistry.
Having completed my GCSEs with a Grade 8 in Maths (and high marks across Physics and Chemistry), I have a firsthand understanding of the current specifications and the specific challenges students face today. I am currently continuing my academic journey studying A-Level Maths, Physics and Chemistry, which keeps my core knowledge sharp and relevant.

- My Teaching Methodology:
I believe that maths and science are best learnt through clear visuals, active engagement, and structured problem-solving. In my lessons, I use interactive digital presentations alongside real-time digital handwriting/whiteboard explanations.
This approach allows me to:
* Step-by-step guidance: Walk through practice questions together, breaking down how to approach different question types and tackle complex multi-mark problems.
* Visual learning: Clearly illustrate abstract physics and chemistry concepts and write out mathematical derivations step-by-step.
* Exam technique: Annotate past paper questions live with students so they learn exactly what examiners are looking for and how to avoid common mistakes.
** My main goal is ensuring you build strong confidence and understand why a concept works, rather than relying on memorisation.
- Lesson Structure & Length:
Lesson lengths are flexible and tailored to the student’s needs and preferences. Options include:
* Standard 60-minute or 90-minute sessions focused on specific topics or practice papers.
* Intensive 2-hour deep-dive sessions designed for thorough topic overviews or pre-exam revision.
* Short 45-minute focused sessions for quick concept checks.
** We can discuss and agree on whatever structure works best for your study schedule!

GCSE Success: Achieved a Grade 8 in GCSE Maths, alongside high grades in Physics and Chemistry.
