About Sami
I am a Secondary Education Major with an AA degree from North Idaho College. I am currently an in-person math tutor and am hoping to help more students with online tutoring. I thrive in the algebra and precalculus subjects. If you are struggling to understand your teacher or your textbook from an online resource I would love to help you.
I have experience with the MyMathLab system by Pearson, and the ALEKS online math program. If you are learning in-person or completely online with a computerized program, I can help you navigate whatever system you are using and help you not only learn math, but also how to best utilize those online systems that every teacher has been using since the pandemic.
Just a little about myself. I enjoy the great outdoors, hiking, camping, and skiing are just some of my favorite hobbies, but I also like to sneak inside to read or, more recently i've learned to crochet. As much as I like to learn new things, I really enjoy teaching others new things.

I have over a year of tutoring experience in high level math courses. Precalculus and Algebra is where I personally thrive as a student and I would love to help guide you through the weeds of these courses. If you are seeking a positive and uplifting individual who will be right there with you through your work, I'm the tutor for you!
My tutoring sessions begin with.you and I defining the goals that you have for the session. These goals may be small, such as, understanding a concept and completing the homework. Or larger goals, such as, prepping for your upcoming exam.
We will then begin to tackle these goals together! Whether this occurs through teaching or troubleshooting problems together, we will accomplish the goals that you set forth in the beginning of our session.
Once your goal is complete and you have accomplished what you sought out to accomplish, we will wrap up our tutoring session. You and I will review what you have completed and make sure that you are comfortable going forward and tackling this concept by yourself. This may end with me asking you to explain the concept you learned to check for any holes in understanding. We would then say goodbye and end the session with an accomplished feeling and a happy mind.
