About Amanda L H
Throughout my academic appointments, I’ve worked with children, teens, adults, and group classes of varying ages. Within this background comes the ability to tailor my courses to meet my students where they need and want to be met. I’m always open to suggestions for content, taking into account the interests of students within my course planning; I aim to encourage excitement not just for art, but what my students are passionate about. Additionally, I hold a Master's degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

My classes provide age appropriate, rounded lessons that include traditional and experimental approaches to techniques and materials. A philosophy I’ve maintained throughout my professional appointments and personal practice:
Building a technical foundation enables knowing how to better break the rules later.
