I am familiar with direct instruction (clear, step-by-step explanations and demonstrations) and inquiry-based teach methods (asking questions to encourage critical thinking and problem-solving). Some techniques that I will be utilizing in my lesson include, but not limited to:
- Modeling: demonstrating a task or concept for students to observe and emulate
- Guided practice: providing support and feedback as students practice new skills
- Check for understanding: regularly checking for student understanding through formative assessments such as exit tickets, quick quizzes, and observations.
- Encouraging self-directed learning: Providing students with the autonomy to explore topics and questions that interest them
