About Jojo

I am an art teacher since March 2023 at the Visual Arts Center in Westmount. I’ve more experience working with children and teens, but I’ve also worked with adults. I prioritize your vision, goals, and dreams and will make sure that you realize them course by course. I can make realistic as much as abstract work and that allows me to be very adaptable, fluid, and creative. In this course you will grow not only as an artist but also as a person.

About the lesson

My first course will focus on you, your strengths and weaknesses and everything you dream to accomplish with drawing and painting. It could be for fun, as a way to meditate, to be more creative, to explore, to become better. I will teach you how to draw and paint based on observation, how to find your own style and story to tell, how to copy an image, how to play with light and shadow, and use storytelling in your work. I can also help you build your portfolio for college or university!

Camille is very talented for her age and very passionate, I can clearly see her interest in learning and growing as an artist. I want to work more with her on observational skills, shadows and light, composition, perspective, depth, and storytelling. She's really great with characters and has a lot of imagination and creativity. As she learn the technical skills she will become a better artist and will be able to prepare a portfolio along the way and our classes together.
