About Ejiroghene

I studied engineering at the University of Benin. I have over 10yrs teaching experience. I prepare students for IGCSE JAMB WAEC etc. I am a safety professional with NEBOSH certification as well as a registered engineer with NSE and COREN certified.

About the lesson

I love to prepare the foundation of my students and make sure they are adequately equipped to learn more complex lessons step by step. I teach practical method. I love to do more of practice examples to make them versatile and confident to solve problems on their own. I always share real life examples that will help students relate on a topical level.

Ejiro and I studied engineering together in the university and she always enjoyed arranging tutorial classes for her fellow students even back then. We also worked together as colleagues in the banking & finance sector for a brief period but she eventually decided that teaching is her passion. She is kind, brilliant and an excellent motivator. Her love for children and passion to work with young people radiates through everything she does. Typically she takes a "foundational and keep it simple" approach to explain complex concepts and likes to use vivid examples where possible. She likes to make people comfortable around her. When did you develop an interest in your subject and in private tutoring?
From a very young age of 6years i already started watching maths shows on tv, also my dad always took time to teach me and answer my maths questions. This interest continued and my parents ensured I never failed maths by always providing tutors for me after school. I started to develop interest in private tutoring when I watched a couple of maths tutorials on youtube and facebook.
Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).
I teach maths, physics, further maths, drawing and HSE/Nebosh. I especially love problems in algebra and simple physics topics like motion. I am not a great fan of geometry but I can always crack them when I meet them.
Did you have any role models? Perhaps a teacher that inspired you?
Yes, I have a couple of role models, My Father, my mother both of whom are scholars, my secondary school maths teachers Mr Royal Nakpodia and Mr Obi November (RIP). Online i always watch channels like PreMaths, Esomnofu Online Maths, Tambuwal Maths Class and many others.

Maths is Easy, Maths is fun.
Did you face any difficulties at school or university?
Yes, I had difficulty in physics because getting a good physics teacher at the time was challenging for my school, but I eventually overcame this when I completed my masters in engineering program.
Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general, an element of this particular subject, or something completely different?
I love teaching because it has proved to be a great form of expression and outlet for me. I also am passionate about other things than teaching such as music (i sing a lot), art (painting, sketching, graphic and digital art), I love to travel and cook.
What makes you a Superprof?
What makes me a Superprof is the way I bring the subjects to life in the minds of my students. After a session with me you no longer fear any subject because I make it seems doable. I have a high success rate with my students in their exams.
