About Ashlyn
I believe anyone can do chemistry. For many, it’s new and challenging. Once one realizes it is basic algebraic principles applied to real world scenarios, light bulbs go off. I love watching that happen and seeing a student’s confidence grow in a subject I love. Chem-is-try. That is my motto.

I am a third generation chemistry and physics teacher. I want my students to love science as much as I do! I typically follow an I do, We do, You do format to model how to solve problems. I follow each lesson with an exit ticket. My lessons are better geared towards high school students needing help with chemistry and physics, but I am comfortable tutoring introductory chemistry material from college courses. I am currently coauthoring an introductory level college chemistry textbook.
