About Ruth

I live in Recife now but I was born in the United States and I grew up in Venezuela. Spanish and English are my main languages. I am a teacher of English in one of the most popular schools in Brazil and I also teach Spanish. I love making students talk, even the most shy. I believe is very important to allow students to make mistakes in order for them to learn. I like to make my students have fun while they learn and strengthen their confidence.

About the lesson

-I Teach any level, from basic to advanced students regardless of the focus of the student, whether it is to increase vocabulary, fix grammar mistakes, improve listening skills, or practice conversation.
-I also teach Advanced students, who just want to practice, reinforce their conversation and learn more vocabulary, phrasal verbs, idioms, and expressions.
-I am very focused on conversation and pronunciation.
-A strong grammar base is important to sustain the language.
-I Like to expand the vocabulary depending on the student. I adapt to the requirements the student may have. If they need to learn the language for negotiations, traveling, formal conversation or any other subject, we will focus on that exactly.
- I teach adults of all ages and teenagers
