About Angie
Hi! I’m Angie, an IB student with a strong passion for mathematics and helping others succeed. I’ve consistently achieved top marks in IB Math and enjoy explaining challenging concepts in a way that’s easy to understand. As someone currently in the program, I know exactly what it’s like to navigate difficult topics, manage assignments, and prepare for IB-style assessments.
I’ve gained experience tutoring classmates and younger students, focusing on building confidence and problem-solving skills rather than memorization. I believe that every student learns differently, so I adapt my explanations and examples to fit each person’s learning style.
Additionally, I have a lot of experience mentoring for VEX IQ.

My approach focuses on helping students understand the “why” behind each method, not just memorize formulas. I use real IB-style problems, past papers, and visual explanations to make learning both practical and engaging.
A typical lesson:
- reviewing key concepts from class
- guided examples and independent practice questions that target the student’s weak areas
- end each session with a short recap and personalized tips to strengthen problem-solving skills and boost confidence
What sets me apart is that I teach from a student’s perspective. I know the IB curriculum, the marking style, and common mistakes students make. My lessons are interactive, supportive, and tailored to each learner’s pace.
These lessons are ideal for Grade 9–10 students, especially those in the IB program or preparing to enter it, who want to improve their understanding, raise their grades, or develop stronger mathematical thinking.
