About Arnaz
I'm a highly experienced and approachable tutor with over 7 years of teaching experience in Mathematics and Physics, both online and in-person. I hold a PhD in Astronomy from the University of Edinburgh, where I studied the complexities of the expansion of the Universe and published in top peer-reviewed journals. I also hold a First Class degree in Theoretical Physics (MPhys) from the University of Edinburgh, where I was awarded a Class Medal for the top mark in my final year.
My passion for teaching was imparted to me directly through my dad who remained patient while highly effective in tutoring me after school to achieve high grades in a competitive school environment in India. I find teaching incredibly fulfilling - especially in subjects such as Maths and Physics, which students often struggle with as they have a reputation for being difficult. However, they are also the most interesting subjects! They are incredibly fascinating as they give us a new language to understand the world we live in.
As a serial hobbyist, in my spare time I enjoy reading, cooking, going on long walks, playing music, learning languages and spending time with friends and family!

I have experience teaching learners at all levels - from 1-on-1 tutoring to primary school students building confidence in maths, to leading tutorials in undergraduate classes at the University of Edinburgh tackling advanced physics and mathematics. With over 7 years of experience in teaching 100s of students, my approach is flexible, versatile, and always tailored to the student at hand after a brief assessment of their specific needs. I adapt my teaching style to the student and help them achieve their goals - whether it is to gain deeper understanding of concepts, practising under timed conditions, building confidence, or achieving exam results!
