I've been passionate about drawing since my childhood, and I've been working as an arts teacher for more than 10 years, a life path that really fulfills me. I love to see my students progress in their craft and help them with detailed feedback, demos, overpaintings, and all sort of useful tips. I design my classes based on the interests of my students and enjoy analyzing and replicating diverse drawing styles. If you love manga, anime, cartoon, animated films, digital illustration, etc., and wish to draw professionally in these fields, let me tell you're in the right place to promote your abilities and take them to the next level. It doesn't really matter which is your current level, all I'll ask from you is discipline and passion for your dreams. Welcome, dear student!

  • 1) When did you start practicing? How did this passion find you?

I was probably approximately five years old when I drew this picture in kindergarten, and I can still clearly recall how much work went into it. I've felt ever since that I must continue drawing for the rest of my life, and thus far, that has proven to be the case. The feelings I felt at such a young age opened my eyes to a completely different universe. I got the impression that, when creating an artwork, I had the opportunity to somehow transcend into the role of creator and enter a world where my creativity is completely unrestricted.
  • 2) Which artists or works affect you the most?

Many artists have influenced my work, and I am constantly amazed by the new talented people that I come across every day. If I were to name historical artists, I would say that my favorites are Da Vinci, who used Drawing as a means to understand the world, and El Greco, who stylized the human figure in an incredible way. Regarding the best artists working today, I have to say that I adore Nathan Fowkes. He is a master at using color theory to create visually stunning works. Indeed, the list is infinite, though.
  • 3) What are the qualities and skills required to succeed in this area?

Having a strong enthusiasm for art comes first. If this is your true vocation, you will enjoy the journey, persevere through setbacks, and push yourself past your comfort zone. Therefore, maintaining discipline is essential to honing your craft and learning new things constantly to fortify your artistic path. It's also important, in my opinion, to have a sensitive outlook on life and the capacity to become engrossed in the simple and tiny details of everyday life. Additionally, it's critical to be able to market oneself as an artist and hone your networking abilities in order to attract clients, commissions, visibility, and opportunities.
  • 4) What is the most valuable advice you can give to help someone stay focused on creative projects?

You can achieve success by creating an action plan and adhering to it as strictly as possible. It is highly recommended to adhere to a customized timeline that involves discipline, even though creative professions may not always follow linear procedures. Make sure to arrange your tasks in an open and transparent manner. Additionally, be realistic about the amount of time you can devote to your creative process and adjust your schedule accordingly. Then, it's advisable to continue practicing art for enjoyment, creating works of art that don't necessarily relate to the primary project and that take little time to complete, in order to maintain your interest in your project and your motivation.
  • 5) How would you describe your passion; how does it make you feel?

It offers my life a profound meaning and inspires me to keep growing and become a better version of myself. It's a fuel for life that keeps me inspired and allows me to dream big. All things considered, I am happy because of my passion for painting.
  • 6) What creative achievements are you particularly proud of?

I've worked for several projects in the entertainment and editorial industries, and I really love to see that they are dreams that came true. For example, I created background paintings for the animated series Harmon Quest on HBO, as well as 2D and 3D art for Moon Tales Video Games Studio, where we created the game ConSPYrartion, which is accessible on Steam. I also had the opportunity to contribute to the illustrations for the Sweet Dreams Kailey Ruth book series, which is available on Amazon, in addition to numerous other projects for clients throughout the world.
  • 7) Have you ever been surprised by a student; by their ability or quick progression?

Many times. As a college teacher, I've seen many times really young students who have a highly developed artistic level, I usually tell them how amazing they are and that I was far from reaching their level when I was their age.
  • 8) Being a Superprof is an art! What is your secret?

I love being a teacher. Since I began teaching in universities back in 2015, I've always felt a great sense of fulfillment from watching my students grow. I consider becoming a teacher to be a great privilege since I feel like I learn so much and get so much love and positive energy. Adding value to my students' lives and having a positive influence on them is an immense honor, and they consistently share their enthusiasm and excitement with me.
