About Olgar
I'm a Master's student in Health Data Science and Biostatistics at Wits, where I use advanced mathematics every day. As a tutor, I've helped students gain confidence, improve their marks, achieve distinctions and pass subjects they once thought were impossible. I believe every student is capable of success with the right support. Whether you're looking to pass, boost your grades or pursue a STEM career, I'm here to make Maths and Science feel simpler, more enjoyable and a lot less intimidating!

I enjoy tutoring high school (grades 8-12) Maths with English as the language of instruction.
I seek to teach the student based on their level and learning style. The best way to help someone improve is to identify where they are and how you can help them overcome the barriers keeping them there.
When it comes to Maths especially, practice is imperative. Star wars fans know that Yoda would say, "Fail you will if practice you don't." This is why practice questions and mock tests are a part of my lesson plans.

Olgar is a very nice tutor. I like how patient and kind she is. She helped me pass June exams and I'm less afraid of November exams because I know she'll find and fix the biggest issues I have.
Olgar is a very special tutor. She creates a strong relationship with her students, understands the areas of difficulty, is extremely supportive and builds confidence and trust. I highly recommend!!
I'm so happy I got Olgar to help me with my maths. She helped me go from passing with 55 in my prelims to 70s in my finals. There were many gaps in understanding that she helped me identify and close. I really recommend her.
You can tell she knows what she's doing because she will always assess your understanding before moving on. She's very meticulous and encouraging. I highly recommend her.
Olgar is such an amazing tutor. She's honestly the best tutor I've ever had. She's super kind, caring, and patient with her students. I've been working with her for a while and my Maths marks have never been as good as they are right now. Olgar is excellent at what she does, I highly recommend her
