About Ruchi
About Me
I am a Japanese language graduate, translator, and interpreter with experience teaching Japanese to school students, university students, and professionals. I have also worked in Japanese business environments, giving me strong practical and professional language experience.
I have travelled to Japan and regularly engaged with Japanese students, friends, and professionals, which has deepened my understanding of both the language and everyday communication in Japan. I also have a strong interest in Japanese culture, including the tea ceremony, Hinamatsuri (Doll Festival), Obon festivals, hanami (cherry blossom viewing), Kabuki theatre, Japanese cinema, taiko drumming, and literature, which I often bring into my lessons where relevant.
My teaching is structured, supportive, and adapted to each student’s level and goals. I focus on developing speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills through interactive practice, revision, and real-life Japanese use.
Whether you are studying for GCSE or A-Level exams, preparing for travel, or learning Japanese for personal interest or work, I aim to help you build confidence and progress effectively.
