About Émile
I am now in my first year at the Université de Montréal, after completing my college diploma in music with a jazz profile. Since my first encounters with music around the age of eight, I have always appreciated how it allows me to express my creativity and emotions. Music helps me connect with the people I share it with and serves as a meaningful message—it reflects who I am, where I am, and why, in a specific moment, I express what I feel. As I transitioned from childhood to adolescence, I explored various instruments, from banjo to tuba, and from drums to guitar. Throughout my musical journey, I attended the St-Alexandre Music Camp in the Kamouraska region every year. These stays greatly nurtured my love for music thanks to the inspiring teachers and young musicians I met there. Ultimately, it was through participating in multiple musical ensembles that I discovered the instrument that fulfilled everything I was looking for in musical expression: the electric bass. I immediately fell in love with it, as it is simultaneously rhythmic, harmonic, and melodic. The bass is a pillar within any musical group, helping to highlight and support the other instruments. I like to think that I play a similar role both in an ensemble and in my social life. I am a sensitive person who cares deeply about ensuring that the people around me feel heard, supported, and understood. I see the happiness of others as part of my own. I also consider myself someone with natural leadership. Whether in a musical or social setting, I always work toward a common goal and make sure the people around me feel guided, included, and respected. Musical dialogue between musicians is another aspect of music that I truly love. Just as French and English are languages, I see music as a language of its own. I hope to continue growing through new encounters, diverse cultural influences, and the rich musical backgrounds of the people I play with.

English Version (French is my Native language): My teaching methodology is built on adaptability, empathy, and a deep understanding of how different students learn. Having taught both young children and college students, I have developed a wide range of pedagogical approaches that allow me to tailor my instruction to each learner’s needs. This experience has strengthened my ability to identify the most effective method for every student, whether they benefit from structured guidance, interactive activities, or more exploratory learning. A typical lesson begins with a short review to connect new concepts with previous knowledge. I then introduce the main topic through clear explanations and practical examples, followed by engaging exercises that help students apply what they have learned. Each session ends with a brief reflection or Q&A so students can consolidate their understanding and express any uncertainties. What sets me apart as a tutor is the unique perspective I bring as both an educator and a student. Because I am currently pursuing my own studies, I understand firsthand what makes learning enjoyable, motivating, and efficient. I strive to create that same environment for my students—one where they feel supported, confident, and genuinely interested in the subject. My lessons are ideal for learners ranging from primary school students to college-level individuals. I work well with students who need foundational support, those preparing for exams, or anyone seeking to strengthen their academic skills in a personalized and comfortable setting. By adapting my teaching to each student’s level, goals, and learning style, I aim to make every lesson both productive and enjoyable.

This letter aims to highlight the outstanding quality of Émile Babeux-Loiselle’s work, both as a teacher and as a musician.
Émile worked as a teacher for La Jeune Coop – La Boîte à musique, as part of the music program at Cégep de Sainte-Foy. He distinguished himself through his intellectual curiosity, punctuality, and strong sense of organization.
In addition to his involvement as a teacher, Émile completed several musical contracts, both for events held at the Cégep and externally. He always demonstrated professionalism by arriving well prepared, on time, and equipped with the necessary material.
Émile is a trustworthy person, and I recommend him without hesitation for any task related to teaching.
I have been teaching music at Jean-de-Brébeuf Secondary School for more than 22 years. I had the pleasure of teaching Émile Babeux-Loiselle in our school’s music concentration program from 2017 to 2022.
Émile is a hardworking and conscientious individual. He was very diligent in his instrumental work and always met the required deadlines. He demonstrated great autonomy and rigor in all assigned tasks. Furthermore, he never hesitated to get involved, as shown by his remarkable participation in high-level ensembles (dixieland, stage band, musical theatre, concert band).
I am proud of the musical path he has taken at the post-secondary level, and I have hired him several times in recent years to lead bass sectionals at Jean-de-Brébeuf. With his genuine kindness toward everyone he meets, Émile has shown great seriousness and professionalism in every responsibility entrusted to him.
I highly recommend Émile Babeux-Loiselle for any work requiring reliability and respect.
I remain available for any further information.
