About Nestor
My name is Nestor. I am a diver and a recent master's graduate in mathematics and theoretical physics. The reason I enjoy these subjects so much is because of the satisfaction that comes with solving complex problems and understanding new and challenging ideas. I believe the best way to learn these subjects is through work, work and more work and that anyone willing to put the time in can excel! In my spare time, I have a passion for reading and the gym.

I have 2 years' experience being a private 1-to-1 tutor in mathematics and science. On top of this, I have also been a marker for my university, working with lecturers to give individual feedback and develop students' rigour and teach the finer ways university-level mathematics differs from that at school level. I offer up to 2-hour online sessions and am flexible on days of the week/times for tutoring to fit students' schedules.
Personally, I believe no one methodology works for all students and depending on the purpose behind tutoring (e.g. entrance examinations for schools or STEP, looking to raise grades for GCSE or A-level students or you are simply looking to raise mathematical proficiency) different methods and approaches may be more or less appropriate. I have worked with students from 14-18 (but am not limited to this age range) on all of the above targets and have found the sessions always go best when both sides are highly motivated and the sessions are collaborative!
