About Moises
since i am an AVID student we are expected to help out other AVID students in our tutorial process, a tutorial process is an activity where someone comes to class with a question from a test or homework and in a group we help each other to try and find a solution. since out of the whole class i'm the one of the only ones who has a higher math level i'm usually the one to step up and help a presenter figure out their problem if it involves anything to do with math. and every time they get the answer to their question.

the way I've come to learn most of my mathematical problems is that i learn by example. so i apply that when im helping out someone else. whenever i need to help someone i first ask what they know about their problem and continue on from there. when i help out a student i set up an example problem and state givens and variables needed to be found. i don't always give the answer or steps right away. instead i ask them questions to lead them to find the answers themselves because I've learned from my AVID experience that that's the way someone will understand their problem better. once they find their solution i ask them to reflect on what they learned to have them better understand the topic.
