About Fred

As a Weissman Scholar at Babson College with a dual concentration in Finance/Economics, I have spent my academic career deconstructing the mechanics of global markets and credit risk. My background spans the financial hubs of the world, from analyzing mortgage deals at CIBC to studying international business at Tsinghua University in Beijing and Yonsei University in Seoul. Most recently, as a Global Markets Credit Summer Analyst in the Americas Hedge Funds Group at Bank of America, I monitored high-stakes portfolios and produced credit memos that supported real-time trading and lending decisions for the world’s largest hedge funds. This journey, reinforced by my induction into the Omicron Delta Epsilon International Economics Honor Society and ranking in the Top 20 of the National College FED Challenge, has given me a rare, front-row seat to the engine of global finance.

My mission is to translate this Wall Street level clarity into actionable knowledge for high school students before they enter a predatory financial landscape. With over four years of experience as a Junior Achievement mentor and Alumni Advisory Board Member, I have dedicated myself to teaching personal finance and strategic planning to the next generation. Whether we are breaking down the causes of CPI variance or analyzing the risk profiles of global derivatives, my goal is to level the playing field. I don’t just teach textbooks; I provide the analytical tools and market-driven insights necessary to navigate and succeed in a complex economic world.

My main client base has been in Wellesley since I do not have a car, but if you are willing to cover transport costs I can do other towns.

About the lesson

From mastering the AP Economics curriculum through the lens of a National FED Challenge finalist to deconstructing Accounting with a practitioner’s depth, I hope these sessions can bridge the gap between textbooks and the real world. Drawing on my experience at Bank of America and CIBC, I provide sessions about either Finance or AP Econ prep to help you navigate a complex and often predatory financial landscape. My goal is to equip you with the analytical tools and credit-risk insights needed to gain a competitive edge before you face the global economy alone.
