About Melissa

Hi, I'm Melissa! I'm a mixed-media artist and licensed art educator with 8 years of teaching experience. I hold a B.F.A. in Graphic Design and an M.Ed. in Art Education.

I believe art should be fun, accessible, and personal! I tailor my lessons to each student's interests, whether that's fashion, character design, illustration, or something entirely different. My goal is to help artists of all ages and skill levels build confidence, develop their skills, and discover their own creative voice!

About the lesson

My art lessons are designed to meet you where you are creatively, whether you're picking up a pencil for the first time or looking to develop your skills!

* Lessons tailored to your interests, goals, and skill level.

* Explore drawing, painting, color theory, composition, character design, and illustration.

* Learn techniques using pencils, paints, Procreate, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and more.

* Build practical skills through engaging projects that encourage experimentation and creativity.

* Welcoming beginners, hobbyists, and developing artists of all ages.

My goal is to help you build confidence, strengthen your artistic skills, and find joy in the creative process!

Melissa's response
Miguel came to our lesson prepared with a sketchbook and clear ideas on what he is looking to learn around drawing and design. He was very open to feedback and homework to help him practice the skills we covered!
