About Briana
I went to a private art school on an art scholarship that was granted to me after my work was seen during an exhibit. There I studied Art Education for Pre-k through 12th. I have been a freelance artist for 11 years and a substitute teacher for 5 years. As a freelance artist I have done many things, including tutoring adult students who wanted to expand their creative endeavors or find a relaxing hobby; explored mediums like large-scale murals and fine detailed fiber arts. I specifically became interested in art and education when I became physically disabled at the age of 13, and discovered the therapeutic benefits of expression in art. It is my passion to share that with my students and make art accessible to everyone.

My lessons will be focused around the skills you want to advance in and what you want to prepare for. I believe in personalized lesson planning for the best outcome for each student. I have seen the best success when you take into account each person's interests, mood, environment, challenges, and resources. My lessons will be made to fit you, and making you the artist you want to become! Even if you think you aren’t all that interested in art itself; I have experience in incorporating other subjects into my curriculum to make it more engaging.
