About Rhea May

Hello! I’m a licensed educator with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, majoring in General Education. I have over eight years of teaching experience, including three years as a preschool teacher and five years as an online English teacher, working with learners from different countries and diverse cultural backgrounds. I am passionate about helping children develop confidence and achieve their academic goals through engaging, personalized, and student-centered lessons. I believe that every child can succeed when given the right guidance, encouragement, and learning environment. Whether your child needs help with reading, English, phonics, grammar, vocabulary, or homework, I am committed to making each lesson enjoyable, interactive, and meaningful while helping them build the skills they need to become confident, independent learners.

About the lesson

As a tutor, I believe that every student has unique learning needs, so I tailor my teaching approach to match each learner’s pace, abilities, and learning style. With my Bachelor of Elementary Education degree, three years of preschool teaching experience, and five years of online ESL teaching, I use interactive, learner-centered methods that include phonics, guided reading, storytelling, educational games, visual aids, and positive reinforcement to make lessons engaging and effective. A typical lesson begins with a review of previous topics, followed by the introduction of new concepts, guided practice, interactive activities, and a short assessment to monitor progress and reinforce learning. What sets me apart is my patience, adaptability, and commitment to creating a supportive environment where students feel confident to learn and grow. My lessons are designed for Kindergarten to Grade 6 students who need support in reading, English, phonics, vocabulary, grammar, reading comprehension, homework assistance, or overall academic improvement. My goal is not only to help students achieve better academic results but also to develop their confidence, independence, and lifelong love for learning.
