About Mary

I have decades of tutoring English to all ages of people from all walks of life and the wide world of racial backgrounds. Discovering new and better ways of imparting my knowledge of English keeps tutoring fresh for me and some added benefits are my students teach me valuable lessons in critical facets of tutoring so I can fine-tune my methods. I remain grateful to all my students and I look forward to meeting more wondrous students.

About the lesson

My methods differ from person to person. If a person likes video games, I will tailor some lessons around their favorite video game or favorite hobby. Not only is this a very practical way to learn a language but it is engaging to the student which makes it easier to learn. This is just one way that my tutoring differs from other tutors.
Young people are my favorites but I have tutored adults as well.

My sister, Mary, has experience working with bilingual people. She helped folks struggling with their English proficiency to develop their abilities to write, read and speak so they could fill out application forms and represent themselves. She has an uncanny ability in helping people feel comfortable in her presence and brings out their best. Her interpersonal and communication skills are her strengths. Her commitment to helping people makes her an exceptional choice and trustworthy teacher.
