I love helping others become as interested in math as I am! I am a Junior at LeTourneau University, majoring in Mathematics, and also tutor there. This ad is primarily meant for summer 2023.

About Ezekiel
I am a Junior at LeTourneau University, where I am majoring in Mathematics, with minors in Computer Science and Physics. At LeTourneau, I have been tutoring students in Mathematics for almost two years. The university hired me as a Peer Advisor for my sophomore year, and as standard math tutor the semester after. Now, I have been promoted to supervise the Math Lab on campus.
I even worked with some colleagues on number theory research during a NSF-funded REU at UT Tyler over the summer! We compiled our findings into a paper (search "Sequentially Congruent Partitions" on arXiv), which has been refereed, accepted, and is undergoing the editing process to be published in the Ramanujan Journal. I also presented our research at TUMC in Austin, TX last October.
I scored a 1510 on the SAT, and my overall GPA is a 3.8 (although for math and computer science classes it is a 3.9).
Listed below are some math classes I have taken, all of which I would feel comfortable tutoring, as well as any simpler/prerequisite courses.
- Calculus 3
- Linear Algebra
- Real Analysis
- Logic, Sets, and Proofs
- Discrete Mathematics
- Abstract Algebra
- Differential Equations (univariate)
- Complex Variables

I find that I learn best when I make my own mistakes, and develop my own solutions (as opposed to using formulas I don't understand). Instead of simply giving a student the answers, I think that the best way to help someone through this process is to develop a sense of curiosity in them, and make sure that at the end of a lesson they are excited with what they've accomplished!
When a student is faced with an intimidating problem, my goal is to break the problem down into a smaller, easier one that demonstrates the same core concept. Once the intimidation factor is gone, the student is often quick to jump to the solution, and sometimes even able to immediately spot the application to the more difficult version.
I am comfortable tutoring nearly any high school or undergraduate math classes (as well as many computer science classes!) My favorite topics include complex analysis, number theory, probability, real analysis, calculus, and linear algebra, but I am more than happy to help with simple algebra, geometry, or even simpler classes as well!
