Marienna - Walthamstow - School support

In the two years she tutored my sons she was a great help to them in their KS3 and GCSE English and History studies. I found Marienna to be a very reliable and effective private tutor. She has a great understanding of her subjects which is clear from her teaching. With her guidance they both achieved the highest grades andwe feel lucky to have her to call upon when we need to.

Marienna tutored me online via skype through my A-levels to help with coursework and essay writing. She has a really good way of working with me to help me pick out my own arguments and make them clear and strong. She was always very patient and understanding in our sessions and flexible about when we worked and for how long. I found it easier to work in half-hour slots so that's what we did. I always looked forward to our lessons and they definitely helped improve my grades.

I needed public speaking training for an inter-collegiate competition with our debating society. I loved debate but once there was an audience I'd lose my voice - sometimes literally! In just a couple of sessions Marienna was able to get at the root of that and help me overcome that fear. We did lots of body work, lots of laughing. I learned stress-management techniques I've also found really useful in job interviews since. And she came to support me on the day which meant a lot.
