About Parham

I hold a Master of Applied Science (MASc) in Electrical & Computer Engineering from McMaster University, where my research focused on optical wireless communications. I have 7+ years of teaching experience as a TA at both McMaster and the University of Tehran, and I have tutored 130+ students across +1100 hours throughout Canada and the US.

My engineering background means I teach math the way it's actually used — with intuition and purpose, not just procedures. I know exactly where students get stuck, whether it's a grade 11 functions concept or a second-year university proof, and I build each session around your specific course material.

About the lesson

Every session is built around your course — your textbook, your professor's slides, your upcoming exam. I don't use generic problem sets; I work through what you're actually struggling with right now.

Here's what a typical session looks like: we start by identifying exactly where you're stuck, I walk you through the concept from first principles until it clicks, then we practice with exam-style problems until you can do it on your own. I record sessions on request and send typed notes after each lesson.

I'm available for one-time exam prep sessions as well as ongoing weekly tutoring. Most students see a noticeable improvement within 2–3 sessions. Reach out to confirm availability — I typically respond within an hour.

From the beginning, he made a strong effort to understand where I was struggling and tailored each session to focus on the topics that needed the most attention.

He was excellent at breaking down difficult concepts into clear, digestible steps, which made the course feel much more manageable. He never rushed through explanations and always made sure I fully understood the material before moving on. I also really appreciated that he made the most of every session by coming prepared, staying organized, and focusing on what would be most useful for me.

2. Pricing & Discounts:
The listed price reflects the base rate. Current rates for popular courses are as follows:

For courses not listed above, please inquire directly.
➤ An additional $20 per hour applies to in-person lessons.
➤ A 10% discount is available when you prepay for 10 hours in advance.

3. Payment Policy:
All payments must be completed at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled session. You may pay securely through Superprof or via e-transfer, depending on your convenience.

4. Cancellation & No‑Show Policy:
Payments are non-refundable if you cancel less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time or if you do not attend. A session will be considered a no-show if the student has not arrived within the first 15 minutes.
