About Armando H

I am Armando Nieto, an illustrator and visual development artist with a degree from the prestigious Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD).

With years of professional experience and a solid academic background, I have developed a clear methodology for teaching the core fundamentals of art. I specialize in teaching students the observation and structural drawing skills needed to create professional-quality work, guiding them through the very same process taught in top art schools. I find great joy in helping students "crack the code" of drawing and see their artistic vision finally come to life.

About the lesson

Hi there! If you want to draw realistically, create original characters, or improve your digital art, you first need to master the fundamentals.
My "Fundamentals of Drawing" classes provide a structural, easy-to-understand approach to the core concepts used by professional artists globally. Whether you are a total beginner or just need to fix "bad habits" in your work, we will build your skills from the ground up.
What we will cover in my classes:
• Observation Skills: Learn to see the world like an artist, breaking down complex objects into simple forms.
• Perspective: Master 1, 2, and 3-point perspective to create believable depth.
• Light and Shadow (Shading): Learn how value creates form and adds volume to your drawings.
• Composition & Staging: Arrange elements effectively to tell a visual story.
• Introduction to Anatomy/Proportions: Build accurate figures and objects based on structural logic.
We will work mostly with traditional materials (pencil, paper, charcoal)
