About Jay

I am currently a Masters Maths student at the University of Nottingham. I have been privately tutoring for over 4 years, covering exam material from KS1 to A-Levels in both maths and physics and taught over 40 students with them all achieving or exceeding their target grades. Senior teachers often would ask me to tutor specific students who had exceptionally high targets or students who were far from targets.

About the lesson

I teach by beginning with a question on the basics (or your level if you are past the basics) of the subject and walk you through how to do it step by step. Then allow you to attempt other questions around the same level giving assistance where necessary. Once comfortable I would move to harder questions, moving at your pace.

Deadly! Still taking lessons with Jay for a level Maths. He is an amazing tutor. He breaks down a really difficult subject and explains it in a way that I really understand. He has shown me alternative methods for solving problems which has helped me at school and in exams.
