About Gayatri
Hi there! I’m Gayatri (you can call me GG), a passionate Math and Computer Science tutor with a Master’s degree in Professional Computer Science (Big Data) from Simon Fraser University and 4+ years industry experience as a Data Engineer and Data Scientist at Samsung. With a strong foundation in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Structures, and Logic, I bring both academic depth and real-world tech insights to every lesson. My work has involved building scalable data pipelines, applying statistical models in production systems, and working closely with engineering teams to solve business problems using data. As a tutor, I specialize in helping students truly understand the "why" behind concepts—not just memorize formulas. Whether you're a high school student struggling with core math, a university learner tackling statistics or algorithms, or someone transitioning into tech, I tailor lessons to your pace and goals. Previously, I’ve also supported students as a Teaching Assistant at SFU, and I continue to enjoy making technical topics simpler, more intuitive, and more engaging. Why Choose My Classes? Concept-First Learning: I help you build intuition and clarity before jumping into practice problems. Industry-Relevant Skills: I connect theory to real-world tech, data, and programming applications. Custom Lessons: Each session is adapted to your level—academic or professional. Supportive & Patient: I break down complex ideas in a way that reduces anxiety and builds confidence. If you're looking to strengthen your skills in Math, Logic, or Statistics—or want to see how these subjects connect to coding, data, or computer science—I’d love to help you get there.

I focus on building a strong conceptual foundation in Math, Statistics, and Logic, connecting theory to practical, real-world problems. My lessons are personalized to fit each student’s pace and learning style, whether you’re a high school student, university learner, or someone preparing for a career in data or tech.
Typically, we start by assessing your current understanding, then work through step-by-step explanations, problem-solving exercises, and real-life examples. I incorporate elements of computer science, such as algorithms and basic programming logic, to deepen your grasp of logical thinking and data concepts.
My goal is to help you gain confidence, improve problem-solving skills, and foster a genuine understanding — not just memorize formulas. Whether you’re aiming to excel in exams or apply knowledge in tech, my lessons are tailored to your goals.
