About Oluwatobi
I have about 5 years of experience working with children as a volunteer teacher for Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) in a program called Christian Youth In Action (CYIA). I taught evangelistic lessons to kids and adults five days a week throughout the summer during this time period. During my time with this organization, I developed qualities such as leadership, conflict management, teamwork, and organization that I believe would be beneficial for this position. During my undergraduate career, I also worked as a Peer Advisor for three years at the University of Texas at Dallas. In my position, I was assigned about 24 students each year that I mentored, tutored, and connected to on-campus resources. During my time as a Peer Advisor, I was able to further develop my leadership and conflict management skills, as well as hone my communication skills. A skill that I also believe is necessary in this position. Along with my past experience teaching/mentoring students and children, I also have a strong academic background. I graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering, 3.62 GPA. I am also a native English speaker and have informal experience working with international students in assisting them with language barriers and essay critiques.

My teaching method is working with students on a basic concept first so that the student grasps the foundation of a particular topic. Then building up the concept in stages until its fully fleshed out. From there, I have the student repetitively work out problems from this topic until they show complete mastery of the topic.
