About Charles

I’m Charles Haysom, a former IB (International Baccalaureate) student now studying Economics and Econometrics at Cambridge University. Having received the highest score on my IB exams (7/7) and having had previous tutoring experience, I am confident I can help further your understanding in mathematics through engaging lessons and clear explanations. I’ve always been passionate about sharing knowledge and helping others grow academically. When I tutor, I focus not just on improving grades, but on building the confidence and skills that last beyond exams.

About the lesson

I focus on breaking down complex concepts into clear, logical steps while always tying them back to real-world applications. I emphasize active learning: rather than simply lecturing, I guide students through problem-solving and exam-style questions to build both understanding of the content and confidence. I tailor explanations to each student’s strengths—whether they learn best visually, through discussion, or by practicing exercises.
