About Jackson
My name is Jackson, and I’m a junior mathematics major at Rowan University, with aspirations to become an actuary. As a former valedictorian, I’ve developed a strong foundation in mathematics and a passion for helping others understand and excel in the subject. As a math tutor, my approach focuses on clarity, problem-solving, and building confidence. Here's a concise breakdown:
Teaching Method:
Concept Understanding: I ensure students understand the why behind mathematical concepts, not just the how.
Step-by-Step Approach: I break problems into manageable steps, guiding students through each part.
Interactive Learning: Students actively solve problems with guidance to build confidence and critical thinking.
Visual Aids: Diagrams and charts help make abstract concepts more concrete.
Real-World Applications: I tie math concepts to practical, real-world situations.
Typical Lesson Plan:
Warm-Up (5-10 mins): Review past material to ensure understanding.
New Concept (15-20 mins): Introduce and explain the new topic with examples.
Guided Practice (15-20 mins): Work through problems together, providing support.
Independent Practice (10-15 mins): Student works on problems alone to reinforce learning.
Review (5-10 mins): Discuss mistakes, provide feedback, and clarify any confusion.
Who Lessons Are For:
I tutor students of all levels, from middle school to college, covering topics such as algebra, calculus, geometry, and more. My lessons are adaptable to any student’s learning style and pace.

Deadly! Jackson was great! My son attended his 1st session with Jackson and is off to a great start. Jackson does a great job explaining the why which helped my son better understand the how. Looking forward to future sessions with Jackson.
