About Anoop
I'm Anoop, a second year Mathematics, Operational Research, Statistics and Economics student at the University of Warwick. I really enjoyed my subjects (Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics and Economics) at A-Level, but what I enjoy even more is teaching those subjects. I have logged over 100 hours of tutoring, across MyTutor and privately, and have helped my students achieve an average increase of 2 grades (roughly 38%). At university, I am currently on a First-Class grade, and have landed spring internships at some of the most competitive finance firms in the world, with acceptance rates lower than 2%. Outside of academics, I play a lot of football, cricket and badminton, and I enjoy playing the piano too.

I specialise in helping students break down complex, tricky concepts into more manageable parts. I care deeply about fundamental understanding, not just rote learning, as I believe it makes subjects more interesting and less overwhelming.
Having recently sat A-Levels, TMUA and GCSEs myself, I understand where the mark schemes penalise students.
Of course, every student learns differently, but a typical 60 minute session might look something like this:
- Mastering the Concepts (20 min): We break down the core theoretical topic using intuitive examples, ensuring you understand the 'why', not just how to memorise it.
- Guided Problem-Solving (20 min) : We work together, walking through past-paper/practise questions, understanding the key thought processes and approaches to tackle multi-mark questions, of various types.
- Problem-Solving (20 min): You take the lead on fresh, difficult problems, while I offer hints and support, to push you as close to your problem-solving limit as possible.
I have tutored over 100 hours, across MyTutor and privately, and achieved A*A*A*A in my A-Levels, (Mathematics, Physics, Further Mathematics and Economics), and (concealed information) in my GCSEs. I tutor any of these subjects at A-Level or GCSE and offer tutoring for TMUA.
What you get out:
- Bespoke notes and worked solutions sent after every session.
- A personalised tracking sheet highlighting weak topics and target areas.
- Proven strategies for time management and avoiding exam stress.
