About Christopher
Hi! I'm Chris (19); a 2nd year Computer Science BSc student studying at the University of Bath.
having achieved top grades in my previous studies (A* A* A & A* in EPQ at A-Level, 10 lvl 9s 2 lvl 8s at GCSE), i understand what it takes to succeed; and i would love to help equip learners with some of the tips and tricks i've used in my academic journey.
During my A-Levels, i spent 6 months working as a software engineer in web development. I have 6 years of coding experience and typically code in Python, C# and Java, although i have experience with C++ and Haskell.

Hi! Im looking to teach GCSE and A-Level Maths& Computer Science, with sessions lasting from 1 hour(+). I'm happy to teach in person or online via Zoom.
I have taught GCSE computer science in the past, focussing mainly on programming and coursework components. Typically speaking, i start my lessons by teaching a short, managble chunk of content and then running through some examples. Then, i like to provide students with some more open ended tasks (subject permitting) and encourage them to experiment, with me working alongside them to provide guidance and answer questions when needed.
I've often found that learning this way is a lot more engaging than just staring at a whiteboard for an hour. Practise and application builds confidence, so i make a point of accenuating it in my lessons.
