About Shruti
Hi! I'm Shruti, an MSc Data & Computational Science student at University College Dublin with a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology.
I tutor Maths and Science for primary and secondary school students, with a focus on making difficult concepts easier to understand rather than simply memorising formulas or answers.
My background in mathematics, statistics, programming and problem-solving has given me a strong analytical foundation, and I bring that approach into my tutoring. I break topics down into simple steps, work through examples with students and adapt lessons to their individual level and pace.
I can help with:
• Understanding difficult Maths and Science concepts
• Homework and schoolwork
• Revision and exam preparation
• Strengthening weak foundations
• Practice questions and problem-solving
• Building confidence in Maths
Whether your child is struggling with a particular topic or simply wants extra practice, I'll tailor each lesson to what they need.
My goal is to help students understand *why* something works, not just memorise how to get an answer.

# How my lessons work
Each lesson is tailored to the student's current level and goals.
1. Identify the problem
We'll first understand which topics the student finds difficult and where they need support.
2. Explain the concept simply
I'll break the topic into smaller steps and explain it using clear examples.
3. Practise together
We'll solve questions together, gradually moving from guided examples to independent problem-solving.
4. Check understanding
I'll make sure the student understands the reasoning rather than simply memorising the answer.
5. Build a plan
For students who need ongoing support, we can create a simple plan around upcoming topics, homework or exams.
I offer online lessons and can also travel within Dublin where suitable.
