About Mick
I'm trained as an Architect and Mechanical Engineer, and work in the engineering and design field. On the side I've also been tutoring Maths and Science part time for 7 years, with over 15 high school students. Currently I am starting a business and working part-time so I am available from Wednesday to Sunday.

I offer lessons in high school Maths (all types), Physics and Chemistry. My approach is to start off by finding the parts of the course that the student understands, and the parts that are problematic. We start from the place where the student feels confident, then gradually build up layers of complexity. My particular skill is to ask questions and listen closely, this reveals to me and the student the root of the difficulty, then I explain the concept in various different ways until they get it. I want students to leave the lesson feeling the joy of grasping something new and confident in their own abilities to solve problems.
