About Matthew
I've worked in tutoring since March 2010; my first tutor job was with the Student Disability Resource Center at FCCJ. I worked as a tutor through my engineering degree, and found my work with students to be the secret behind my success. I make it my business to ensure that you will walk away with as much knowledge from the course as physically possible and pass on valuable skills to help you long after our time together. Upon reviewing your syllabus to determine learning outcomes, we will then study materials from your class. What we do in our meetings will depend on your weaknesses in the current course, and how we deem we can best leverage your strengths to shore up those weaknesses.
While I have never personally known what makes me a good tutor; I do know my students tend to succeed, which is all I need to know. I have been told I am skilled at relating course materials in ways that allow my students to understand them to a new level.
