About Woody
Through my academic journey, I have developed a strong appreciation for the problem-solving and analytical skills that Physics and Mathematics teach, and I enjoy sharing that enthusiasm with others.
I decided to become a tutor because I understand that these subjects can often seem challenging or overwhelming. Having helped A-Level students achieve their academic goals, I find it incredibly rewarding to see students gain confidence, overcome difficulties and realise their potential.

My lessons are tailored to each student's individual needs and learning style. I begin by identifying a student's strengths, weaknesses and academic goals, allowing me to create a focused learning plan that targets the areas where they need the most support.
During lessons, I use clear explanations, worked examples and guided problem-solving to develop both understanding and confidence. Once key concepts have been understood, I reinforce learning through past paper questions, helping students improve their exam technique and apply their knowledge.
Lessons typically last one hour, although longer sessions can be arranged if required. I have experience tutoring four A-Level Physics students, all of whom achieved their target grades. I have recently completed an integrated master's Physics degree at University College London and I am currently awaiting my final results.
My lessons are primarily aimed at GCSE and A-Level Physics students, whether they are looking to improve their understanding of the subject, boost their confidence, or achieve specific grade targets in their examinations.
Recommendations
Recommendations come from relatives, friends and acquaintances of the teacher
We found Woody through a recommendation via school. He was a patient and organized tutor, who took the time to get to know our son and the elements of the A'Level physics course he was having trouble with. He even seemed to make it seem interesting. He also went through past papers, which helped give him confidence during the actual exam.
