Hi!
My name is Laura and I'm 32 years old. I have three children and am currently on maternity leave from an outstanding primary school. My degree is in geography - my interest coming from a fascination with earthquakes and glaciers, a true physical geographer! However, I completed a PGCE in primary education following my BSc and I've now been teaching for 11 years. I am extremely passionate about education, stemming from my own wonderful experiences at school when I was a child.
In my lessons. I always try and incorporate my personal love of computers and ICT which engages students and also addresses different learning styles and experiences. As my school is leading in its field, I am regularly observed by visiting educators where we demonstrate outstanding lessons.
Over the years, I have been a private tutor to many children in ks1 and ks2 and also have a piano lesson business that I've been running since I was 15.
I am a patient person and I would describe myself as methodical, organised, always prepared and passionate.
I hope to be able to offer my support and experience to you.
