About Margarita
I'm, mainly, an illustrator. Drawing is a fundamental part of my life, as it has allowed me to explore the world and has helped me develop my own voice. I'm also a photographer and have worked in editorial illustration for over two years. My artistic work explores themes such as observation, contemplation of the everyday, and solitude. I'm also interested in exploring gesture and expressiveness, and in working with diverse media and materials, both analog and digital. I've been a private drawing teacher since 2020. I'm currently an undergraduate student of Visual Arts at the National University of Colombia (UNAL) in Bogotá.

My teaching method is based on recognizing each student's interests and abilities. From there, I seek out resources that can contribute to enrich and expand the exploration and development of a personal project guided by each student's individual concerns. I propose a series of exercises to address and put into practice both basic parameters and creative ways of experimenting with and approaching them. I manage the subject matter in a flexible way, so that students can work at their own pace and never lose motivation.
