About Mostafa

For as long as I can remember, mathematics has always come naturally to me; I loved solving arithmetic problems as a child. However, it was not until I became a young adult studying for my GCSEs that I realised the profoundness and beauty of maths. Relationships that were previously taken for granted become illuminated in the light of mathematical proof. It was this realisation that propelled my passion for maths and what made me change career choice from medicine to physics. The first time I proved Pythagoras' Theorem for myself it was like a veil had been lifted from my eyes and now I could understand the universe more clearly. My initial drive in choosing medicine was to help people, which is now manifested in my love for teaching science in a fun and engaging way.

About the lesson

I have been tutoring maths and physics to high school pupils for a decade. My focus when tutoring is to assess the student's needs and tailor a lesson specifically for them. We begin with problem solving so that I am able to analyse exactly how much the student understands and with what they are struggling. Afterwards, the lesson is customised specifically to the student to give them a ground-up and complete understanding of the topic. A lesson typically lasts one hour. I have experience tutoring the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence in addition to GCSEs and A-levels. I have also tutored a number of adult learners, who are always welcome.

Deadly! I’ve had a great experience with this Mr Mustafa physics tutor. He explain difficult topics like electricity, forces, waves, and space physics in a really clear and simple way. Complex calculations are broken down step-by-step, which makes it much easier to understand and remember the formulas.
